As their second release, Cologne-based tape label „Der Kongress“ presents Victor R. Gruen’s „Demos M.001“
The artist debut features five tracks which were all recorded as improvisations, reverberating the downtempo-ish signature sound of Cologne’s contemporary music scene that is rooted around places like „Acephale“ and combining it with powerful dark wave elements. With „Der Schamane aus Düsseldorf“, Gruen Starts thing of cryptically, followed by „M“, offering more groovy material and the most gloomy track of the tape „Der Pole“, featuring a heavy baseline and characteristic dark techno styles. The B-side consists of „K“, starting off with mysterious sounds, developing into dark spheres and heavy percussions
on „C“.

One of my top labels these days. Esoteric, dreaming, trance inducing music in the form of dub, techno, folk and more genres. Check their 1st volume too. Just great Pako Vega
Naomie Klaus is a fantastic performer and this release definitely meets the standards of her shows.
Full of melodies, very melancholic without leaving on side the percs and the rythms.
I really see a reflection of myself through these tracks. alexandrebnl
Every sound here is made using Megan Mitchell's voice, even though the music often sounds more like Earth’s vibrations than a human singing. Bandcamp Album of the Day Mar 28, 2023
